| The DBE Supportive Services program offers opportunities for Prime Contractors and Consultants to network with certified DBEs whose businesses are based in Maine. These networking events are an excellent way for the DBEs as well as the Prime Contractors and Consultants to meet face-to-face to create potential business opportunities and develop and maintain lasting business relationships. There are two types of events the DBE Supportive Services program hosts, the Transportation Business Matchmaker and the DBE Expo. | |

The Transportation Business Matchmaker is an event where Prime Contractors and Consultants meet with small businesses to discuss potential business matches. Each Prime is given a table and a sign up sheet. The small businesses are given 30 minutes to sign up with the Primes they are interested in meeting with. When those 30 minutes are up, it is time for the meetings to begin. Each meeting is 15 minutes long. This type of event is a great way to meet with many different small businesses that could potentially be a great business match. | |

| The DBE Expo is similar to a tradeshow. It consists of 25-30 booths where different certified DBEs set up exhibits to inform the attendees of what products or services they offer. All Prime Contractors and Consultants are invited to attend. This event gives the Primes the opportunity to select what businesses they are interested in meeting with and allows them to find out more about the different certified DBEs in the state of Maine. |
